I got to Tuk today. It was a really cool flight in nice and clean and could see lots. Its difficult to tell right now what is land and what is water because it is all still ice. Soon I will be able to see it. I have been told that what is land is where there are roads and houses...the rest....water!
Flew in on the Twin Otter plane. Small. I have video of the take off and landing that I will post sometime in the near future.
Met my work peeps today. They are all great. It should be a good adventure.
It is VERY isolated here that will be a bit of a challenge.
Well, short post tonight, sorry. I am heading to bed.
I will post pics and some video soon!

Josh,
ReplyDeleteNeat blog. Very special place your living in. I came across your blog through a coincidence. Did you graduate from a masters in Coastal and Marine MAangement @ the University Centre of the Westfjords? If so, I have (more than just a couple questions) to ask you. Just got accepted into the program... haven't really made an official decision. Any recommendations or important bits of information to share about Isafjordur? Here's my email address.. nchaylt@lakeheadu.ca
P.S: Did you have any troubles getting your degree recognized in Canada?
Cheers,
Natalie (have a great summer in Tuktoyuktuk)
